Friends Fiduciary Supports Robust EU Sustainable Finance Framework

Friends Fiduciary has joined an investor statement calling on the European Commission to “preserve the integrity and ambition of EU’s sustainable finance framework.” There are current discussions around the establishment of an ‘omnibus legislation’ to amend key EU regulations, including the CSRD and CSDDD. Investors agree with the overall objective of simplifying and improving the coherence of the EU sustainable finance framework to provide clarity and consistency and reduce reporting burdens. However, investors also recognize the importance of ensuring that by reopening these regulations in their entirety the regulations do not lose the principle aims and core substance of the reporting framework.
