FFC Announcement – Planned Giving Program Manager Hired

July 12, 2017

I am very pleased to announce that Michelle D. (“Mimi”) Blackwell, JD has joined the Friends Fiduciary team as Planned Giving Program Manager. Mimi will work to coordinate and grow FFC’s planned giving services which include facilitating and administering charitable gift annuities, charitable lead and remainder trusts, and donor advised funds. Mimi will work closely with organizations currently using these services as well as reaching out to meetings and organizations that do not yet offer planned gifts to their donors.

Mimi has worked in Friends education for the past twelve years, serving in many capacities including marketing and communications director, assistant head of school, and most recently as the head of Goshen Friends School in West Chester, Pennsylvania. She has worked with Quaker educators, meetings, and boards from across the country and currently serves on the boards of Arch Street Preschool and Friends Education Equity Collaborative.

Adding the Planned Giving Program Manager position is part of a broader FFC initiative to more proactively and deliberately support the vitality and growth of Quaker organizations and meetings through effective stewardship. The planned giving program is a separate cost center within Friends Fiduciary and does not impact the expense ratio of our commingled funds. Friends Fiduciary has become known for excellent investment management and responsive customer service and will be bringing this same commitment to excellence to the Planned Giving Program through proactive relationship building, educational offerings, and attention to constituents’ needs and inquiries.

Mimi brings a wide range of skills and knowledge with her; she’s an attorney, has done both marketing and communications, and has deep knowledge and experience in the Quaker academic world. I look forward to working closely with Mimi as she builds the planned giving program.

Please join me in welcoming Mimi!

Sincerely,

Jeff Perkins
